Burning Fail, ErrCode: 0xeb020b88

If you ever see the error "Burning Fail, ErrCode: 0xeb020b88" then I've found the solution today; Turn down the write speed of the CD-R / DVD-R drive to a lower setting and this seems to do the trick.

  1. I did this and it worked. my DVD-R has 16x, power2go defaulted to 8x and i got the error but when I used 4x write speed, burning was successful. thanks!

  2. My Cyber link Power DVD was defaulting to 40X as max speed and disc mentioned it supports 56X. When I reduced to 16X it worked. GREAT TIP. Grateful to you all.

  3. I try to do this, using 4x instead of 8x but the error continues.

  4. I actually had did a compatibility test, changes the setting to run as Windows 8 and run as administrator and it actually worked. You might want to try that if you are still having errors. reducing the speed did not work for me either.

  5. Running the program as an administrator and lowering the write speed will do.. just got mine working...now

  6. Leawo Blu-ray Creator is up to burn video/picture to DVD/Blu-ray with some built-in menu templates. Maybe you can give it a try if needed.
